India: Day 3 Results: 1st Hockey India Sub Junior Men & Women West Zone Championship 2023

~Chhattisgarh Hockey, Hockey Gujarat, and Hockey Madhya Pradesh won in Sub Junior Women’s category matches~

~Hockey Maharashtra, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu Hockey and Hockey Madhya Pradesh won in Sub Junior Men’s category matches~

Chhattisgarh, 11th October 2023: The third day of the 1st Hockey India Sub Junior Men & Women West Zone Championship 2023 in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, saw Chhattisgarh Hockey, Hockey Gujarat, and Hockey Madhya Pradesh register wins in their respective matches in the Sub Junior Women’s category, while Hockey Maharashtra, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu Hockey, and Hockey Madhya Pradesh emerged victorious in their respective games of the Sub Junior Men’s category.   

In the first match of the women’s category, Chhattisgarh Hockey beat Goans Hockey 11-0. Sonam Rajbhar (18’, 27’, 55’), Captain Damini Khusro (7’, 48’), Sidar Madhu (44’, 56’), Aradhana Rajbhar (24’), Vasundhara Mandavi (38’), Naina (53’) and Shyamlee Ray (60’) scored the goals for Chhattisgarh Hockey. 

In the second match of the women’s category, Hockey Gujarat beat Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu Hockey 6-0. For Hockey Gujarat, Vala Khushaliben (10’, 21’), Archana Vala (30’), Parmar Puriben (34’), Gohil Ridhdhiben (42’) and Bhosale Priya (59’) scored the goals. 

In the third match of the women’s category, Hockey Madhya Pradesh beat Hockey Rajasthan 11-0. Kanak Pal (33’, 37’, 39’), Sallu Pukhrambam (15’, 32’, 48’), Gungun Kaur (24’, 58’), Tanvi (30’, 49’) and Sujata Jayant (7’) scored the goals for Hockey Madhya Pradesh. 

In the fourth match of the day, which was also the first match in the men’s category for the day, Hockey Maharashtra beat Goans Hockey 11-0. Captain Swayam Sanju Gangurde (3’, 42’), Desmond Jordan (45’, 54’), Piyush Rajesh Sonawane (48’, 53’), Laxman Chimnaji Metkar (6’), Dhairya Sharma (7’), Rehan Shafi Khan (17’), Khune Harsh Ramesh (29’) and Suraj Dipak Shukla (56’) scored the goals for Hockey Maharashtra. 

In the second match of the men’s category, which was the fifth match of the day, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu Hockey beat Hockey Rajasthan 11-1. Ritesh Pandey (2’, 11’, 53’), Shubham Rajbhar (41’, 56’, 59’), Yadav Pawan (5’, 45’), Yadav Aakash (21’), Singh Amarjeet (42’) and Captain Mithlesh Singh (50’) were the goalscorers for Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu Hockey. 

In the final match of the day, which was the third match in the men’s category, Hockey Madhya Pradesh beat Hockey Chhattisgarh 7-0. Aashir Aadil Khan (35’, 36’, 52’), Naveen Singh (38’), Khan Javvad (50’), Krishna Yadav (59’) and Karan Gautam (60’) scored the goals for Hockey Madhya Pradesh.
