The moment of truth has arrived. This weekend the battle for the championship erupts in full force. The Tulip big league reaches its climax with the finals for the ladies and men. The highlight for every field hockey fan. Viaplay and the NOS are on top of it with coverage of this spectacle.
The finals weekend starts Saturday in Bilthoven. There the first women’s final match between home team SCHC and Den Bosch will kick off at 16.00 hours. It is the fifth time these teams will meet in the final battle for the national title. In all four previous finals, Den Bosch drew the longest straw. The 22-time record champion held up the trophy each time. SCHC will hunt for its first ever national title.
A day later the men’s final will be played in Utrecht at 16.00 hours. Home team and defending champion Kampong hosts Amsterdam, the battle between the numbers four and three of the regular competition. It is a repeat of the 2018 final in which Kampong grabbed the title by winning the third and deciding match 3-1. Amsterdam will hunt for its first national title since 2012 when it beat Rotterdam.
Live on NOS and Viaplay
Both duels can be seen live on NOS (NPO1, site and app) and streaming service Viaplay. Saturday you can see the women’s final via the live stream; Sunday you’ll be back in the front row for the game from the Klapperboom.

Promotion Class
Meanwhile, we are not forgetting about the Promotion League. There, the last round of play is scheduled. An exciting battle for the men’s title and direct promotion is raging. Three teams have 45 points each: Laren, Tilburg and Schaerweijde. We visit the game of frontrunner Laren against number eleven HGC, which is still fighting against direct relegation.
