NETHERLANDS: NATIONAL U16: KZ, R’DAM, A’DAM AND SCHAERWEIJDE TO FINAL

    The finalists in the battle for the national title at the National O16 have been announced. Small Switzerland and Rotterdam will play for the national title next Saturday at the Rotterdam complex for the girls. Schaerweijde and Amsterdam compete for the highest honors among the boys. Both finals will be broadcasted live by hockey.nl.

    Girls

    Little Switzerland reached the final battle of the Dutch National Championships by beating Victoria 4-1 at home. Rotterdam had its hands full with HDM in the semi-finals. The team from Rotterdam had to make up for a deficit twice, after which they won the shoot-out series.

    Boys

    For the second year in a row, Schaerweijde has reached the final of the NK U16. The defending champion was 6-2 too strong for Rotterdam in the semi-finals on Saturday. Teun van Aalderen and Jurre Bunte each scored two goals for the team from Zeist. In the final, Schaerweijde will play against Amsterdam, which beat Rood-Wit 3-2 in the other semi-final after trailing 2-0.
