Netherlands: Top scorers PK: Hilterman and Borsten in pole position

The top scorer title in the Promotion League will be decided next weekend during the final round of play. For the women, Bloemendaal penalty corner specialist Demi Hilterman still has the best papers, while for the men Push defender Noud Borsten is on course for the honorary title.

Promotion League Ladies

With one round to go, Claire Fischer has revived the battle for the top scorer’s title. The Groningen player scored both goals for her team in the lost away match against Nijmegen (4-2) and is now on thirteen goals. That is only one less than defender Demi Hilterman, who added one goal to her total against Victoria (4-1 win).

Furthermore, Aafke Schrievers deserves a special mention. Were Di’s striker scored four goals on a visit to Breda (2-7), a first for her and a rarity in the Promotion League. Schrievers is the first player since Tessa Olde Loohuis (MOP) in September 2022 with four goals in one game. Olde Loohuis then scored four times on a visit to Were Di (1-7).

Promotion League Men

No goal for Push defender Noud Borsten during the last round of play. The top scorer of the Promotion League saw his only competitor get one step closer: Pim Haring scored once on behalf of Tilburg in the topper against Laren (3-3), reducing the gap to Borsten to two goals. Haring can call himself the second player ever with at least thirty goals in one Promotion League season.
