The top scorer title in the Tulip premier league has fallen into Bossche hands this season. Among the women, Den Bosch attacker Frédérique Matla retained her narrow lead over Yibbi Jansen (SCHC), while Den Bosch defender Timo Boers outlasted rival Boris Burkhardt (Amsterdam) in a direct duel.
Tulip Women’s big league
On the final round of play in the regular competition, Frédérique Matla was not in action against Tilburg due to a slight muscle injury. Her direct competitor Yibbi Jansen (21 goals) was on the pitch, but failed to score against HDM. The World Player of the Year even missed a penalty ball in the 2-1 win at home.
With 22 goals, Matla can call herself the most treacherous player of a major league season for the fifth time in her career. The Den Bosch striker needed only eighteen games to do so. Matla was also good for nine assists this season, the most of any player.

Jansen did become the player with the most goals from penalty corners this season: she shot eighteen times from head of circle. Her teammate Maud van den Heuvel can call herself the player with the most field goals. The young attacker scored twelve times from field goals, one more than the still injured Jip Dicke, who also plays for SCHC.

Tulip big league men
Timo Boers’ hit penalty ball in the home game with Amsterdam meant goal number 28 of this competition. Because his direct competitor Boris Burkhardt did not score and Pinoké attacker Miles Bukkens stuck to one goal against Bloemendaal, the top scorer title of 2024-2025 goes to the 21-year-old defender of Den Bosch.
Boers ended up one goal short of matching Piet-Hein Geeris’ club record (29 goals in 1997-1998). However, after Geeris, he is the second top scorer ever for Den Bosch in the history of the big league. With the note that Geeris had to share his top scorer title at the time with Bram Lomans and Richard de Snaijer.
Bukkens did set a new club record at Pinoké with his 27 goals. He scored one more this season than South African Justin Reid-Ross did in 2011-2012.

Promotion Class Ladies
With two rounds of play to go in the Promotion Division Ladies, Mikki Roolaart has revived the battle for the top scorer title. The striker of Leonidas scored three goals in the away match against Victoria (0-5 victory), her first hat-trick of the season. Roolaart, who will play for HGC next season, now stands at twelve goals and is close to leader Demi Hilterman to one goal.

Promotion League Men
Top shooters Noud Borsten (Push) and Pim Haring (Tilburg) both added three goals to their total and thus walked further away from the competition. Borsten lifted his production to 32 with his hat-trick against HGC (3-2) and is the first player in the history of the Promotion League to pass the 30-goal mark. Haring made three on the visit to Leiden (2-5) and now has 29 dashes behind his name.
