In this Pro League weekend, the selection of the Orange Ladies goes through quite a shake-up. Freeke Moes and Eline Jansen will join the Dutch team for the two matches against China. The recovery from their injuries went so well that they can play on Saturday and Sunday. That means that talents Maud van den Heuvel and Trijntje Beljaars return to the Dutch Junior Team. Jip Dicke left the selection after she was injured against Spain.
Moes and Jansen were initially left out of the Orange squad for the Pro League two weeks ago, as they were not fit enough to play the entire six-game block. 75-time international Moes has been struggling with the after-effects of a concussion she suffered in early April. As a result, the Olympic champion also missed the playoffs with her club Amsterdam. Recently the striker, who has not yet played an international game this year, has been training with the Dutch national team again.
The same goes for Eline Jansen, who was initially missing due to a broken finger. The young striker from Kampong watched the first Pro League games of this block from the sidelines, but can be back with the team against China. After the first four games of the Dutch Team – two against Spain, two against Australia – the selection has been allowed to shift again, making room for the six-time international.

Dicke back in the patch
Due to the presence of Jansen and Moes, talents Van den Heuvel and Beljaars return to the Junior squad. They had actually returned to the training squad last month, but were desperately needed by the ‘big’ Dutch team due to a slew of injuries. Beljaars took part in the first meeting against Spain, giving her five caps to her name. Van den Heuvel played a game against both Spain and Australia. For the 19-year-old striker of SCHC, these were her first two international matches, in which she also scored (against the Aussies).
Jip Dicke will not be back with the Dutch national team this weekend. The striker from The Hague also made her debut last week and now has two caps. However, on Thursday, during the monster victory over Spain, things went wrong for the striker. She fell out injured and has since left the selection. Dicke had just returned from injury, after she sat out weeks in the spring with a hamstring injury.
The Dutch will play today and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. against China. They are the last duels the Netherlands will play in front of its own crowd this season. On June 28 and 29, the titleholder concludes the Nations League with a double against Belgium.
