The KNHB conducted the draw for the first round of the Gold Cup on Thursday. The ladies will play their duels in the first round on Thursday, Sept. 11. The men play a week later on Sept. 18. All matches begin at 8:30 p.m.
The semifinalists of last season’s Silver Cup will start in the Gold Cup this season. For the men, they are: Delta Venlo, Hoorn (WFHC) and Union. Zwart-Wit was also a semifinalist but was promoted to the Overgangsklasse and was therefore already allowed to participate in the Gold Cup. Among the ladies, Alecto qualified for the first round of the Gold Cup. The semifinalists DES, Phoenix and AthenA were already allowed to start in the Gold Cup because of their promotion to the Overgangsklasse.
